Have we become complacent? I think new parents are so unsure of themselves that they don't know to complain. They assume it is okay for places not to have a changing table. I know several people who have set up makeshift changing stations in the back of their vehicles. Should we just do this instead of expecting a store to cater to our needs?
I have found that many places without a changing table are not kid friendly, but suprisingly many places that claim to be "family friendly" are not. Perhaps as parents we need to begin to stand up for certain basic rights, like the ability to change a stinky diaper. We expect bathrooms for ourselves, why not relief for our children?
